Talibans have followed and threatened him as suspected to be a spy for the United States. He now expects to obtain asylum in Belgium and then be able to start a new life.They are hundreds in his case.Arrived in September 2013 in Brussels, around 200 Afghan refugees were in the Béguinage church in the center of Brussels. Families have finally, after several months in the church, been placed in several centers across Belgium. Refugees who currently occupy the church are single men who are waiting to get asylum status.The support group, in which Thibault, a 25 years Belgian ,is involved , provides the essential elements to permit them to live in minimum comfort conditions. Mattresses on the floor were replaced by tents provided by doctors without borders. The parish and father Daniël Alliët have temporarily providing a place that is a shelter for refugees.Tempory which lasts. It has been 10 months since the first Afghan arrived in this church. Procedures for asylum applications are long and complicated.The Belgian government has invested heavily in the war in Afghanistan and the fight against the Taliban and does not want to recognize that the situation in the country remains unstable and violences persist. When we hear the stories of these people we understand that it is far from the truth. Les Talibans l'ont suivi et menacé car soupçonné d'être un espion pour le compte des Etats-Unis. Il attend désormais d'obtenir le droit d'asile en Belgique et ainsi pouvoir recommencer une nouvelle vie.Ils sont des centaines dans son cas. Arrivés en septembre 2013 à Bruxelles, quelques 200 afghans se sont réfugiés dans l'église du Béguinage, en plein centre de Bruxelles. Les familles ont enfin, après plusieurs mois passés dans l'église, été placés dans des centres d'accueil un peu partout en Belgique. Les réfugiés qui occupent actuellement l'église sont des hommes célibataires qui attendent de pouvoir obtenir le droit d'asile.Le groupe de soutien, dont Thibault jeune belge de 25 ans fait partie, apporte l'aide nécessaire à ces hommes pour vivre dans des conditions minimum de confort. Les matelas à même le sol ont été remplacés par des tentes fournies par médecins sans frontières. La paroisse et le Père Daniël Alliët ont mis provisoirement à disposition un lieu qui sert de sanitaires pour les réfugiés.Du provisoire qui dure. Cela fait maintenant 10 mois que les premiers afghans sont arrivés dans cette église. Les procédures de demandes d'asile sont longues et compliquées. L'Etat belge qui a beaucoup investit lors de la guerre en Afghanistan et la lutte contre les Talibans ne souhaite pas reconnaitre que la situation dans ce pays reste instable et que les violences persistent. Et pourtant lorsque l'on entend les récits de ces personnes on comprend que c'est loin d'être la vérité.
